Publish your gallery to the Network
Share an eligible gallery through the existing Contest Gallery controls. Review the listing, keep it updated and send visitors to the right page on your website.
Before you publish
Use an administrator account and an existing Contest Gallery installation. Network publishing is available in FREE and PRO. Your gallery needs the supported generated parent-page structure. If an older gallery is reported as ineligible, copy it first to create the modern gallery structure, then review the copy before publishing.
Check that your intended destination is public and shows the correct gallery. Review your content rights and the Network privacy policy before sending public information.
Publish an existing gallery to the Network
- Open Contest Gallery in your WordPress dashboard and choose the gallery you want to share.
- Select Publish to network in the gallery list or on the gallery edit page.
- Enter a useful Network title and Network description. Explain the theme and what visitors will find.
- Check the Visitor destination. Keep the generated gallery URL, or select Use another public page and enter a public URL on the same domain where you display this gallery.
- Confirm that you have the right to publish this information and accept the Network privacy policy.
- Select Publish and keep updated. Publication requires successful domain verification and safety review.
- After acceptance, select View listing. Check the listing text, previews and the link to your original gallery.
A Network listing is published on www.contest-gallery.net. The visitor destination is your own gallery page. These two addresses serve different purposes.
Write a listing people can understand
A title such as “Autumn landscape photo contest” is more informative than a gallery number. Use the description to explain the subject, who the contest is for and what people can do. Add entry dates only when you can keep them current. Put the full rules and any participation requirements on your original website.
The Network may review your website and submitted text or images. If publishing fails, read the displayed message and keep its Reference ID when contacting support. Rejected or failed submissions are not published automatically.
Update, inspect or remove your listing
- Open the existing Network controls for the gallery.
- Use View listing to inspect the public page.
- Change the title, description or destination and use Save and update network listing to save the new settings.
- Use Run update now when you want to request an immediate refresh using the saved settings. Save changed fields first.
- Use Unpublish from Network inside the dialog when you want to remove the listing.
Daily auto update is included after publishing and runs through WordPress Cron while the plugin is active. Delivery depends on the WordPress schedule and successful Network requests. If accepted updates stop for 14 days, the listing expires from the public Network index.
Understand what is shared
The Network receives public website and gallery metadata, the selected destination URL, preview image URLs and public activity figures. Selected public entry previews can also be included. Images remain served from their original website in the current implementation.
IP addresses, email addresses, usernames, registration data and comment text are not exported. Publishing is an administrator action. It does not turn private member profiles or private messages into Network content.
If the listing does not appear
- Check whether the dialog reports an ineligible gallery version. Older galleries may need a copy with the supported generated parent page.
- Check that the visitor destination is public, uses the same domain and displays the intended gallery.
- Read the publishing result. Domain verification or content review can prevent publication.
- For an existing listing, inspect the last update status and try Run update now with the saved settings.
- If accepted updates stopped for 14 days, publish or update the listing again after resolving the cause.
Use the displayed Reference ID when a publishing response provides one. A successful plugin save alone is not a promise that the Network has accepted a listing.
