A complete video contest workflow

1. Create

Choose categories, upload limits, gallery design and the rating rules for your competition.

2. Collect

Participants upload their videos from the frontend and receive a direct entry link by email.

3. Rate

Your audience watches, rates and comments while the configured voting controls protect the result.

4. Award

Compare average scores, select finalists and publish a dedicated winner gallery.

Frontend video submissions without a separate platform

Build the upload form around your contest instead of sending participants to a generic file service. Ask for a required category and title, an optional description, a private email address and confirmation that the participant has the right to submit the video.

The live example accepts MP4, MOV and WebM files up to 15 MB. New submissions are published automatically and the participant receives an email containing a direct link to the entry. You can use manual activation for contests that require an entry review before publication.

Engagement after every play

Average ratings

Five-star averages help visitors compare production, storytelling, creativity or overall impression.

Optional feedback

After voting, visitors can add a comment without making feedback a condition for submitting their rating.

Clear categories

Category filters keep different subjects and competition tracks easy to browse on every screen size.

SEO-friendly video entry pages

Contest Gallery can create a dedicated page for every approved video with its visible title, description, category, video player, ratings and comments. Public entry pages can describe matching content with VideoObject structured data.

When real average ratings are publicly visible, eligible entry data can also include AggregateRating. Structured data helps search engines understand a page, but search engines decide whether rich results appear.

SEO strategy: This WordPress use-case page is the indexed destination for the demonstration. The generated demo entry URLs remain excluded from indexing because their visible scores contain sample ratings.
