Member profiles, private messages and friendships

The latest member features help contributors introduce themselves, manage content and stay connected.

34.0.0: give contributors their own place

Version 34.0.0 introduced the gallery member area, public contributor profiles and frontend profile editing. Members can add a profile image, display name and selected public information. Participants helps visitors find the people behind published entries.

My entries gives members access to their own contributions, including submissions awaiting approval. Owner actions include editing information, deleting entries and replacing files when the gallery rules allow it. Public URL fields can link to a website, portfolio or social profile.

Additional improvements include resumable interrupted image processing for frontend uploads and file replacement, consistent gallery and entry headers, updated sharing dialogs and configurable account return navigation.

34.0.1: connect members across your galleries

Version 34.0.1 adds private messages and friendships. The public profile now brings together accessible published contributions across eligible galleries. Participant directories, the member area and social actions make it easier to discover a contributor and keep in touch.

Optional member emails can notify recipients about a new message or friendship request. Administrators gain a conversation overview and controls for a user’s ability to send new messages and requests. Profile loading, mobile layouts and navigation also receive improvements.
