Member profiles & personal content

Give every contributor a profile

Let members tell their story, show their work and manage their contributions directly on your WordPress website.

A profile people can explore

Give contributors a recognizable identity through a display name, profile image and selected public fields. An introduction, interests or a website link can help other members understand the person behind an entry.

Discover the people behind the posts

The Participants view brings together members with published entries. Visitors can search names and public profile information, open a profile and explore its contributions.

Members with no published entries are not listed yet. Private profile fields are excluded from the public display and search.

Participant cards provide an entry point to member profiles. The directory is based on visible contributions in this gallery.

Let members shape their own profile

Members can update their display name and profile image directly inside the gallery. Additional editable fields come from your registration form and follow your profile-editing permissions. Fields enabled for public display are clearly labelled.

A personal place to manage contributions

Under My entries, members can view their published contributions and their own submissions awaiting approval. They can edit entry information, delete their own entries and replace files when the gallery rules allow it.

Replacement can be allowed without a deadline, for a period after upload or until a set date. You can also prevent replacement after an entry receives its first vote. Individual files in entries with multiple files can be replaced.

Interests

Shared subjects that help members discover a connection.

Website or social profile

Your own fields

Configure the fields that fit your audience. Only fields enabled for public display appear on the public profile.

The demo uses three optional fields. Existing members can leave them empty. Account credentials and private registration information are not public profile fields.

Member profiles in FREE and PRO

The core member area, participant view, public profiles, frontend profile editing and registration/profile URL fields are available in both editions. Available form field types and advanced options vary by edition. Configurable logout redirects and return navigation from the WordPress profile are PRO features.

Profile questions

Do members need to use the WordPress dashboard?

The gallery member area provides frontend profile editing and management of a member’s own entries. The operator configures the gallery in WordPress.

Can I show different member content in different galleries?

Yes. Profile details belong to the site’s shared profile configuration. The contributions shown in a public profile belong to the gallery the visitor is exploring.

Are private messages included?

No. Version 34.0.0 provides public profiles, content sharing and entry comments. It does not include private member-to-member messaging.

Will this work with an old gallery?

The new member features require a gallery created or copied with version 24 or later and its generated gallery page. Copy an older gallery to use the modern page structure. Older gallery-specific registration forms are not automatically migrated.
